A recent proposed resolution seeks to crack down on "categorical eligibility" that grants SNAP benefits (e.g. food stamps) to those receiving other benefits for TANF, a program that provides cash assistance to families below the poverty line. Dr. Schanzenbach, an expert and researcher on public policies, particularly for chidlren affected by povderty, will be discussing this proposed rule and how it can affect patients. We will follow the talk with a public comment drive on the proposed rule.
