We are excited to have Professor Rúahere. Please help us in welcoming her to the Northwestern and Latinx Studies Community.
Mérida M. Rúa is an interdisciplinary scholar whose research and teaching focus on the history and politics of communities of color in U.S. urban life. Her work centers the everyday experiences of Puerto Ricans in Chicago as it also necessarily considers their structural and social relations to other racialized groups.
