Winter Quarter non-credit English courses offered through English Language Programs and the Department of Linguistics to TGS graduate students and postdocs.

Individualized English language instruction to improve your proficiency in spoken North American English, in both academic and everyday contexts, including:

- Accent modification and intelligibility
- Listening comprehension
- Word and sentence structure (grammar)
- Word meaning, vocabulary, and idioms
- Using language in context (pragmatics)
- Sociolinguistic skills and intercultural competence
- Academic writing
- Any other language-related needs

This course meetseets at the same time each week during winter quarter. Instructors and session times vary.
