Description:

Winter Quarter non-credit English courses offered through English Language Programs and the Department of Linguistics to TGS graduate students and postdocs.

English communication skills for effective participation in academic conferences in the U.S. and abroad, including:

- Giving oral presentations and poster sessions
- Presenting data effectively
- Posing questions to presenters  and panelists
- Cultural differences between international and American conferences
- Networking and interacting during social hours and meals
- Travel planning and logistics
