Join UPEP for this free screening of the documentary Stateville Calling, followed by a panel with Andre Joachim, Naeema Torres, and Professor Jennifer Lackey.

Stateville Calling follows Bill Ryan, an 82-year-old prisoner’s rights activist, in his efforts to offer elderly prisoners facing life without parole a chance to walk free. Read more about the documentary here: https://www.filmindependent.org/programs/fiscal-sponsorship/stateville-calling/

The Undergraduate Prison Education Partnership (UPEP) works to support the Northwestern Prison Education Program by encouraging student involvement at the undergraduate level. UPEP plans awareness events and fundraisers on Evanston's campus while also bringing academic supplies and programming to the Stateville students.
