This spring Northwestern's Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in STEM (SACNAS) chapter will be hosting the annual SACNAS Midwest Regional Meeting on Saturday, May 16, consisting of keynote talks, workshops, and lots of networking! The theme is Curating Your Career Through Science: Communication, Diversity, and Empowerment. This annual meeting is a great opportunity to meet other undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty from around the midwest!
You can register for the meeting and check out SACNAS's website below! SACNAS will continue to update the website as speakers and programming are confirmed. Stay tuned for exciting keynote announcements.
SACNAS also invites STEM graduate and undergraduate students to present a research poster or oral presentation. There is a section of the registration form linked below to specify your interest. This is a great opportunity to practice science communication!
If you would be interested in hosting regional meeting attendees from outside the Chicagoland area who need lodging for Saturday evening, please let SACNAS know by emailing nusacnas@gmail.com. This event will include SACNistas from states across the midwest, so if you could host, that would be very generous and much appreciated.SACNAS hopes to see you there! Please reach out if you have any questions.
