The Searle Center for Advancing Learning and teaching will be offering training sessions for instructors and teaching assistants who are moving their teaching online and who are interested in developing and applying strategies that engage students and support active learning and community.
90 minutes; 30 minutes of interactive workshop; 30 minutes of case studies; 30 minutes of Q & A.
Participation limited to 25; sign up; participants encouraged to have completed Part I
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Use the functionality of Zoom to break out into small group discussions; to maximize student engagement and to build discussion and co-creation spaces
- Connect active learning strategies to online activities and apply them with student feedback
- Translate in-person inclusive teaching techniques into a virtual environment.
