Background: The Center for Food Allergy and Asthma Research (CFAAR) would like to host a webinar in honor of Food Allergy Awareness Week taking place from May 10-17th. CFAAR’s team is nationally recognized for their research, specifically surrounding the prevalence of childhood and adult food allergy in the United States. Members of Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine have contributed significantly to academic research surrounding understanding the economic cost of food allergy and asthma, as well improving management, addressing disparities in care and implementing school interventions and policies surrounding these conditions.
This webinar aims to educate and bring awareness to the severity of life threatening allergies as well as understanding psychosocial coping. It will also introduce some of the clinical, epidemiological, and community-based research being done to address pediatric and adult food allergy.
Featuring:
Ruchi S. Gupta, MD, MPH, Director of the Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research
Lisa Lombard, PhD, Clinical Psychologist, Faculty Researcher for the Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research
This webinar is open to everyone, especially members of the food allergy community. There will be a Q&A portion of the webinar. Feel free to submit questions ahead of time by emailing them to mallori.kelley@northwestern.edu.
