Usually an intimate concert on Northwestern University's campus, this year's event will be available to stream at home! Featuring new work from emerging songwriters from around the world, SONGWRITERS IN (VIRTUAL) CONCERT is the closing celebration of The Johnny Mercer Foundation's Songwriters Project, a weeklong intensive for emerging songwriters in all genres held annually each June. The highly competitive program attracts applicants from around the world and invites 12 songwriters or songwriting teams to spend a week working with award-winning professional master teachers. The program honors the legacy of Johnny Mercer by fostering the tradition of mentorship that Johnny was committed to throughout his career.
Don't miss this brand-new, never-before-seen concert premiering Saturday, July 25th at 2:00pm CST. Hear songs that were written and developed during the workshop week and meet some of the most talented songwriters in the U.S. and U.K. all from the comfort of your home!
