Are you interested in talking about Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) books and issues? Join Asian American Studies Program (AASP) Professor Patricia Nguyen and Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) Assistant Director Christine Munteanu for a casual book club discussion on important works of APIDA literature.
For Fall 2020, we will be reading Good Talk: A Memoir in Conversations, by Mira Jacob. A bold, wry, and intimate graphic memoir about American identity, interracial families, and the realities that divide us, this deeply relatable book is a love letter to the art of conversation—and to the hope that hovers in our most difficult questions.
Sign-ups will open on Monday, September 21 at 12:00 AM Central Time: bit.ly/apida-botq
Due to limited budget, we are only providing books to students who can commit to attending our discussion, which will be held on Tuesday, 10/27/20, from 4:30 - 6 PM Central Time.
Contact Christine at cmunteanu@northwestern.edu or visit the MSA website (https://www.northwestern.edu/msa/programs/discussion-groups.html) for more information.
