Description:

The November meeting will discuss mental health and wellbeing during prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The discussion will be led by Mandi Buss, a clinical social worker in the supportive oncology clinic at Northwestern Medicine. Prior to joining Northwestern, Mandi was a clinical social worker at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. The presentation will be followed by open discussion.

The Prostate Cancer Support Group offers opportunities to share personal support and connect with others affected by prostate cancer and learn about treatment options and the potential impact of side effects on a man and his spouse or partner, and his overall quality of life. Facilitated by the Us TOO Prostate Cancer Education & Support Network, these interactive groups facilitate conversations to exchange information among group members assembled with the common goal of empowering each other with the knowledge that comes from experience.

We welcome all people affected by prostate cancer, including patients, caregivers, spouses and partners. You don't have to receive care at Northwestern Medicine to attend.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions all groups will take place virtually via Zoom. Email marykate.keeter@nm.org for a link to the virtual meeting.
