In this short one lesson class you will learn how to make a simple cup, and then add facial features to give the cup a sculptural character. Traditionally, this kind of vessel was called a “Toby Cup,” meant to honor, remember or even criticize someone. Come to have fun and a face of someone in mind to make your cup or let the cup form decide what facial features you want to add.
*Supplies –5 lbs clay, slip, wooden hand tools and underglaze.
