Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention
This seminar will provide an overview of Natalie's research in preventive cardiometabolic health at the Exercise and Physical Activity Resource Center at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and with the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University. Specifically, she will discuss her work describing place-based and race-based disparities and trends in cardiorespiratory fitness and cardiovascular disease risk factors such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. She will also discuss her most recent projects using data obtained from the CDC Natality Files to describe rural-urban and geographic disparities in pre-pregnancy cardiometabolic health.
