In this talk, Fuentes will share her current work on feminist articulations and performative tactics and the challenges of doing transnational research driven by the quest of defining Latin American and hemispheric activist performance.
Marcela A. Fuentes is an Associate Professor in the Department of Performance Studies at Northwestern. Her work centers on performance as practice, analytic and method concerning transnational social justice mobilizations across media platforms. Her book Performance Constellations: Networks of Protest and Activism in Latin America, published in 2019 by the University of Michigan Press, was recently translated to Spanish and released by the Argentine press Eterna Cadencia.
