Joint Meeting: Fifth Annual Symposium on Water in Israel and the Middle East, CoWERC Water-Energy Innovation Symposium
About this event
We hope you'll join us for the Joint Meeting: Fifth Annual Symposium on Water in Israel and the Middle East, CoWERC Water-Energy Innovation Symposium. The virtual conference will feature global experts discussing the impactful innovations in water technologies found in Israel and the Middle East, as well as the water issues, partnerships and resources in the region. Northwestern Center for Water Research, Northwestern Israel Innovation Project (IIP), Ben Gurion University, and the US-Israel Cooperative Water-Energy Research Center (CoWERC) have come together to create a one-day virtual symposium to inform the public on the most recent developments in these areas and connect researchers, community leaders, and innovators.
The workshop will be organized into two sessions. The first session will focus on water insecurity and the health dimensions of water, including the causes and consequences of the recent increase in water levels in Lake Kinneret, Israel, and links between regional water insecurity and the COVID-19 pandemic. The second session will delve into water technology, focusing on new materials innovations for water, water reuse, and resource recovery from wastewater.
