McCormick Global Initiatives offers several non-credit, short-term global field-immersion programs for undergraduate students. In these programs, students will visit global companies, start-ups and incubators, research institutes, and universities. While learning about the global aspects of the field specific to each program —sustainability, water, innovation, and high-tech— students will also gain exposure to global internship, research, and job opportunities. Trips to cultural, historical, and archaeological sites are also included in the programs.

For 2022, the following GET programs are being offered:

   Germany - Sustainability: Spring Break Travel (Application Deadline: Dec 15, 2021)
   Israel - Water: Spring Break Travel (Application Deadline: Dec 15, 2021)
   Taiwan - Innovation and Hi-Tech: June Travel (Application Deadline: Feb 15, 2022)
   Germany - Sustainability: September Travel (Application Deadline: March 31, 2022)
   Israel - Water: September Travel (Application Deadline: March 31, 2022)

Global Treks are organized by McCormick Global Initiatives in partnership with the Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern (ISEN), the Office of International Relations, the Israel Innovation Project (IIP), the Crown Family Center for Jewish and Israel Studies, and the Center for Water Research.
