Join us for the Global Lunchbox, a weekly conversation convened by the Weinberg College Center for International and Area Studies at Northwestern University featuring conversations with scholars about their current research on a range of critical global issues.
Our guest this week will be Negar Razavi, a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities and a visiting faculty affiliate of the Middle East and North African Studies Program at Northwestern.
Razavi is a political anthropologist whose work focuses on national security, expertise, gender, race, humanitarianism, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Drawing on over two years of ethnographic research in DC, her research specifically examines the role of policy experts and think tanks in shaping U.S. security policies towards Iran and Egypt.
