Abstract: In this talk I discuss Effective Field theory as a way to probe new physics at the LHC. I review recent progress in the computation of LHC processes in the framework of Standard Model Effective Field Theory including higher-order corrections. In particular I will discuss the impact of higher-order corrections and the importance of using these results in global EFT fits. The interplay between the top and Higgs sectors and a global Higgs and top EFT interpretation will also be discussed.
