Description:

Understanding the Big Picture and Major Proposal Sections

This session focuses on key questions and steps to take before you even begin writing your proposal. Once you work through those key points, you are ready to get started on the major proposal elements. This session also covers major sections of an NIH SBIR/STTR Phase I application. What’s the different between an SBIR/STTR and an R01?

-Identifying an opportunity
-Building your team
-Drafting Specific Aims
-Drafting Research Strategy sections

The SBIR/STTR program represents the largest single source of non-dilutive funding. This workshop will serve as a resource for teams interested in preparing an NIH Phase I application for submission in September 2022.

This seminar is part of 5-part webinar series covering key elements of SBIRs/STTRs and how it relates to those at Northwestern University. The talks are open to all Northwestern faculty, post-docs, students and staff.
