Abstract: Maybe you've heard of git or GitHub but haven't used them.  Maybe you tried to set git up in RStudio but got stuck.  Maybe you're just wondering why you keep finding more and more R packages on GitHub.  Join us for this interactive session where we'll set up git and GitHub access via RStudio, learn the basics of version control with git, and talk about the next steps as you learn to use git with others.  To get the most out of this session, make sure that you have the necessary software installed ahead of time.  Follow the instructions here; reach out for a consultation with Research Computing Services if you run into issues.
