Our speaker for October is Gene Kwan, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Boston University.

Gene F. Kwan, MD, MPH is a cardiologist and global health researcher committed to improving healthcare access for the poor. For over a decade, in partnership with local organizations, he has led the development, implementation, evaluation, improvement, and dissemination of integrated chronic care programs in rural low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). We tackle the challenges of improving access to point-of-care diagnostic tests and care management through task shifting with experience in rural Rwanda, Haiti, Malawi, and Liberia.
