This diversity, equity, and inclusion workshop is open to staff and faculty. Held in a live-virtual format, this two-part interactive workshop builds awareness & provides practical tools for participants to enact change towards fostering inclusive environments. A short pre-work assignment will be emailed to participants a few days in advance.
Participants will learn:
How unconscious bias, intersectionality, power, privilege, and oppression overlap and create barriers which support exclusionary practices. Restorative dialogue and allyship skills to interrupt acts of exclusionary behavior. How to create an action plan for utilizing concepts learned to actively foster inclusive environments. Prerequisite:
Participants should have previously attended an Unconscious Bias workshop.
