The Lurie Cancer Center Basic Research Seminar Series Presents:
Delineating Oncogenes in Genetically Silent Tumors
Annie Huang, MD, PhD, FRCP
Associate Chair of Research
Department of Paediatrics
SickKids and University of Toronto
The Huang laboratory focuses on understanding the pathogenesis of rare malignant pediatric embryonal brain tumors. Oncogenic mechanisms in these genomically silent tumors are poorly defined. Understanding how epigenetic modifiers and other non-coding mechanisms drive rare embryonal brain tumor biology is crucial for informing the treatment of these orphan as well as more common cancers.
