Please join us for the Global Lunchbox, a weekly conversation convened by the Weinberg College Center for International and Area Studies at Northwestern University featuring conversations with scholars about their current research on a range of global issues.
Our guest this week will be Professor Kal Raustiala of The University of California, Los Angeles. He will talk about his book, The Absolutely Indispensable Man: Ralph Bunche, The United Nations, and The Fight To End Empire. It is an extended analysis of Ralph Bunche, Nobel Prize winner and Civil Rights Leader, and strives to shine light on the significance of his footprints.
About the speaker:
Professor Kal Raustiala is the Promise Institute Distinguished Professor of Comparative and International Law at UCLA Law School and Professor at the UCLA International Institute, where he teaches in the Program on Global Studies. Throughout his time at UCLA, Kal has aslo served as Director of the UCLA Ronald W. Burkle Center for International Relations and Associate Vice Provost for International Studies and Faculty Director of the International Education Office. There are several publications from Professor Raustiala which focus on international law, international relations, and intellectual property.
