Zeina Hashem Beck joins NU poets Fadia Antabli and George Abraham in conversation on the poetic process across English and Arabic, and how proximity to these languages has shaped their poetry's treatment of multilingualism.
Zeina Hashem Beck is a Lebanese poet and lives in California. Her most recent poetry collection, O, was named a Best Book 2022 by Lit Hub and The New York Public Library. She is a recipient of the May Sarton New Hampshire Poetry Prize and the Backwaters Prize. In her work, Arabic and English exist both independently and in conversation with each other. She is a co-host of the Arabic language poetry podcast Maqsouda.
Lunch will be served at the event.
