Join the AfriSem group at the Program for African Studies for a screening of "Queen Nanny: Legendary Maroon Chieftainess." The documentary-film "sheds light on Queen Nanny of the Jamaican Maroons - one of the most celebrated but least recognized figures in the resistance history of the New World." We will be joined by the film producer and co-creator, Professor Harcourt Fuller. There will be a Q&A with him after, moderated by Bright Gyamfi.
