Welcome back! We hope your Spring Quarter is off to a great start. We are so thrilled to announce that our speaker series, ‘Africa Outside Africa’, will be starting in less than two weeks! The series boasts an incredible line-up of speakers who we’ll be revealing throughout the quarter. Not only that, but you can also look forward to having great food (as always) and some new PASU merchandise up for grabs.
We will be kicking off next week, Saturday April 8 at 11:00 AM CT, with our first speaker: Trevor Lwere! Trevor is a Schwarzman Scholar pursuing a Masters in Global Affairs in Beijing, and also serves as the chairperson of the Pan African Youth Conference. Please join us as he shares with us his journey studying abroad, and his work that’s connected to the continent. Trevor will also discuss the topic 'Africa in a multipolar world: Will it happen, and what will it mean for Africa?'
If you’re able to attend in person, please join us at the Forum Room in the Main Library. Lunch will be served afterwards. If you’re not able to join us in-person, we’ve got you covered, just register to join us virtually using the link here. We will be joined virtually by other students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Depaul University and Lake Forest College!
We can’t wait to see you all there and start the quarter off with what we hope will be an inspiring, thought-provoking series.
