Title: Computer-Aided Design of Synthetic Cells
Speaker: Simone Bianco, Director of Computational Biology, Altos Labs
Abstract: Synthetic biology, the discipline which aims at building new biological entities and modifying existing ones, especially for medical and industrial applications, has seen a growing number of exciting scientific breakthroughs driven by computational methods. In this talk I will describe a vision for the future of computation in synthetic biology, especially artificial intelligence. I will specifically focus on the field of cellular reprogramming and rejuvenation, and present some examples from my own research.
