Join us at this special pre publication event, Ike’s first public reading in North America from his first book Small By Small: Becoming A Doctor in 1990s Nigeria, hosted by The Program of African Studies, two weeks before the official publication day.

Ike will read brief excerpts from the book and discuss with Northwestern faculty member Adia Benton why and how he came to write this rare example of a contemporary medical memoir emerging from a non-Western perspective.

A Q&A  session will close the event.

A limited number of books will be available for sale at the venue, the first physical copies to be sold anywhere in the world! There will be an opportunity to get any purchases signed by Ike at the end of the event .

Light refreshments will be served.
