With multiple years of experience on the operating side of small ventures, large corporations, academic institutions, and investment funds, our speakers, Dimitra Georganopoulou and Lilli Zakarija, will share repeated themes they have identified that can lead companies to success or demise! They will provide real-world stories, advice, and tips to set up your venture for success.

Dimitra Georganopoulou, General Partner, Qral Ventures
Dimitra has been part of the innovation ecosystem for 20 years. She joined the investment world in 2020 and acts as Chief Business Officer (CBO) in select portfolio companies. She is also a venture partner for multiple funds/programs. An experienced biotech professional with deep knowledge of personalized medicine projects, therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, and Health IT. Holistic experience from startup entrepreneurship, tech transfer commercialization, and strategic partner. Dimitra holds a PhD Biochemical Engineering from UCL and is a member of the Innovation Faculty team for MIT’s LinQ Catalyst program, mentoring and guiding innovators in solving health and medical challenges.
Lilli Zakarija, President & Co-Founder EdgeOne Medical
Lilli is an accomplished medical device leader adept at navigating and strategizing product development and regulatory pathways while building high-performing teams with an inspiring company culture. Previously responsible for establishing and leading the Global Device R&D organization for the BioScience division of Baxter Healthcare that was spun out as Baxalta (now Shire/Takeda). Responsible for the development and market launch of 20+ drug/biologic delivery systems. Lilli is a three-time Northwestern University alumnus with an EMBA from Kellogg; Masters in Engineering Management and BSc. in Biomedical Engineering
