R Fundamentals 3-Day Bootcamp – In-person: Evanston campus

Have data to analyze statistically or visualize? This three-day workshop introduces R to those new to R and novice R users. This workshop will be helpful for those looking to get started with R or who would benefit from a systematic introduction to the why’s and how’s of using R effectively. Things you will learn: 

-Fundamentals of R 

-Working with dataframes or datasets 

-Performing basic data operations 

-Conducting common statistical tests 

-Creating visualizations with ggplot2. 

This workshop will happen live, in-person and will not be recorded. You should be available for all three days – the instructor will not be able to help you catch up if you miss materials. You will need to bring a laptop to participate. Instructions will be sent out after you register on how to install R to your laptop or access it on the cloud from your laptop.

Prerequisites: If this is your first time learning a programming language, we highly recommend you register for and attend R Programming Concepts for Complete Beginners on Friday, July 7th before the bootcamp. 

Cost: $60 for all three days for Northwestern University and Northwestern Medicine affiliates plus Eventbrite Service and Processing fees (fees are non-refundable)

• Price includes daily morning coffee and tea. Lunch is not included, but a one hour lunch break will be provided.
