Pandas is a popular (and dense) Python module for working with DataFrames (data shaped in rows and columns, like csv and excel files). This workshop will cover the basics of Pandas to get you started working with your data.
Things you will learn in this workshop:
-Why Pandas is useful
-Reading and writing files
-Selecting subsamples of data
-Grouping data
-Calculating summary statistics
The workshop will be conducted in-person and will not be recorded. Participants will need to bring a laptop. Participants will receive instructions on directly installing or accessing Python and Pandas on the cloud from their laptops after they register.
Prerequisites: Participants should be familiar with basic Python at the level of the Python Fundamentals Bootcamp.
Cost: $10 plus non-refundable Eventbrite service and processing fees. Note that this boot camp is only open to Northwestern University and Northwestern Medicine affiliates.
Price includes morning coffee and tea.
