APIDA Solidari-Tea is a monthly community gathering space for students who identify themselves to be part of the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi/South Asian community. Over tea and snacks, students are welcome to utilize this opportunity to be in community with each other. Through the curated meetings, students are invited to connect with other APIDA students who hold similar identities on campus.
This first gathering of the quarter will be a General APIDA Gathering. All students who identify themselves to be part of the APIDA community are welcome to attend. In this gathering, we will discuss the APIDA label, its benefits as well as limitations, what it mean to be part of the APIDA community at NU, and what kind of space we as a collective community can or wish to cultivate on campus.
Walk-ins for the gatherings are welcome. However, students interested in attending the gathering(s) are highly encouraged to RSVP via Google Form.
Note: This program centers the lived experiences of Asian, Pacific Islander, and/or Desi/South Asian students' communities which are inclusive of, but not limited to, the East Asian, Central Asian, Southeast Asian, South Asian, West Asian/Middle East and Pacific Islander diaspora, as well as multiracial and multiethnic APIDA communities.
