APIDA Solidari-Tea is a monthly community gathering space for students who identify themselves to be part of the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi/South Asian community. Over tea and snacks, students are welcome to utilize this opportunity to be in community with each other. Through the curated meetings, students are invited to connect with other APIDA students who hold similar identities on campus.
This third, and final gathering for the quarter will be APIDA and LGBTQIA+. APIDA students who additionally identify themselves to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community at NU are encouraged to attend. Whether you are at comfort with your identities or are questioning them, come through! In this gathering, we will discuss the joy and complexity of the identities we hold, and lean into each other in support.
Walk-ins for the gatherings are welcome. However, students interested in attending the gathering(s) are highly encouraged to RSVP via Google Form.
Note: This program centers the lived experiences of Asian, Pacific Islander, and/or Desi/South Asian students' communities which are inclusive of, but not limited to, the East Asian, Central Asian, Southeast Asian, South Asian, West Asian/Middle East and Pacific Islander diaspora, as well as multiracial and multiethnic APIDA communities.
