Description:

On top of the normal pressures of school life, trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming students often feel like we’re barely getting by. Having a supportive community often makes all the difference. Join us for an evening of community where we will discuss how to create and find the resources that we need to flourish. Ky Merkley, founder of the national organization Trans in Classics, and Prof. Nick Winters will be hosting an open discussion on community building and the challenges and joys of being a trans* scholar. Learn about the resources that groups like ours can provide, and how we can help each other thrive academically and socially. Any and all students who consider themselves part of the trans* community, most broadly construed, are very welcome!
