The Alice Millar Chapel Choir and Baroque Music Ensemble come together in two spectacular cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach: Cantata 43, Gott fähret auf mit Jauchzen, and Cantata 172, Erschallet, ihr Lieder, erklinget, ihr Saiten! Written for the feasts of Ascension and Pentecost respectively, these festive works feature the exultant sounds of trumpets, timpani, and strings complementing splendid music for solo voices and choir.
