One of the very first pivotal questions that arose immediately after the announcement of the observation of the Higgs boson was whether this is *the* Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson or not. While the SM could not predict the mass of the Higgs boson, it can determine numerous of its properties such as spin, parity, couplings, cross-section production, and many more.
In this presentation, I review a few select tests of the compatibility of the Higgs boson with the SM based on the most recent results from the ATLAS and CMS experiments using LHC Run II data. Furthermore, I will highlight a few results in the search for exotic decay of the SM Higgs boson. These two approaches give us a deep insight into the alignment of 125-GeV Higgs boson’s properties with the predictions of the SM.
