William Arnold, Ph.D. will visit April 18-19th as a faculty candidate for the Department of Pharmacology. He was identified as a faculty candidate through the NURTURE program.
Dr. Arnold is currently completing postdoctoral training jointly in the laboratories of Yifan Cheng and David Julius at University of California San Francisco where he is using cryo-EM to investigate the modulation of TRPV1 and TPPV4 ion channels by lipids. He has a long standing-interest in lipid expoxides, and seeks to identify cell surface receptors, likely GPCRs, for these important signaling molecules.
*Faculty candidate chalk talks are intended for department faculty only. Core and Research faculty are encouraged to attend.
