The Havey Institute for Global Health Seminar Series is held the first Wednesday of each month, September through July, and features the research and ideas of outstanding global health leaders at Feinberg, the larger Northwestern community, and beyond.

Professor of Molecular Biology and Human Genetics at Stellenbosch University 
CLIME (Clinical Mycobacteriology and Epidemiology) Group Lead 

Grant founded and leads the CLIME (Clinical Mycobacteriology and Epidemiology) group, based at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, South Africa, dedicated to pursuing practical solutions to end tuberculosis via Africa-centred excellence in training. CLIME’s research spans diagnostics, transmission, and the microbiome and has resulted in over 150 publications. This research has directly and indirectly changed World Health Organization and national health policies; leading to improvements in the standard-of-care of people affected by TB. He serves on the Innovation Constituency of the StopTB Partnership.
