Title: “Therapy and prevention of long-term cognitive impairment following neonatal herpes simplex virus infections”

Topic: "Neonatal herpes simplex infection can cause devastating disease in newborns. I will describe our work on novel experimental treatment and therapeutic approaches including maternal vaccination and therapeutic antibodies. I will also present our studies of long-term cognitive impairment that follows neonatal infection, and the virulence genes that may be responsible for neurological damage."
