The Feinberg Office of Diversity and Inclusion invites you to the Fall 2024 Lyceum. This year, we are pleased to host Thomas LaVeist, PhD, Dean of the Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine and Principal Investigator for Partners for Advancing Health Equity, as our guest speaker. Dr. LaVeist will discuss racial disparities in medicine and share insights from his extensive career dedicated to understanding the causes of health inequity and potential solutions. He is an award-winning research scientist and the author of six books, including “Minority Population and Health: An Introduction to Health Disparities in the United States,” the first textbook on health disparities. Dr. LaVeist is also the director and executive producer of “The Skin You’re In,” a documentary series about racial inequalities in health.
A light reception will follow. RSVP is recommended.
