This brown bag will highlight how a collaborative approach to curriculum adoption, involving educators and community stakeholders, ensures that resources meet diverse learner needs and promote cultural responsiveness. Ultimately, this approach may empower teachers and enhance academic opportunities for all students.


Edgar Rodriguez-Ramirez is the N4 STEM Coordinator at Oakland Unified School District. He is a former teacher and life-long community organizer who is passionate about transforming schools through family partnerships, teacher leadership, and transformational instructional programs.
