Danielle Bainbridge, Assistant Professor of Theatre, School of Communication, will present eight key steps to translating your research for a wider audience using digital media such as podcasts, video/webcasts, op-eds, social media posts, etc.
Throughout the session, participants will have the opportunity to discuss and develop their ideas for public-facing media while also learning tips and tricks for creating successful pieces online. The session will cover how to publicize your work, how to develop key technical skills, and ways to make rigorous research engaging for a general audience.
Building on her experience working with media partners like PBS, YouTube Originals, and The History Channel, Danielle will guide participants through the process from having an idea to creating your own projects.
