Please join us for a special lecture by Dr. Park Jeong-Mi on her 2024 publication, The State’s Sexuality: Prostitution and Postcolonial Nation Building in South Korea (University of California Press).

The State’s Sexuality investigates the intertwined history of prostitution and the building of South Korea’s postcolonial nation-state from 1945 to present. Dr. Park will give a one-hour lecture on The State’s Sexuality, followed by a Q&A with the audience. 

Dr. Park Jeong-Mi, Associate Professor of Sociology, Chungbuk National University 2024-25 Fulbright Scholar at George Washington University Harris.
