Los Alamos National Laboratory is one of the world’s most innovative multidisciplinary research institutions. We’re engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security to ensure the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile. Our workforce specializes in a wide range of progressive science, technology, and engineering across many exciting fields, including space exploration, geophysics, renewable energy, supercomputing, medicine, and nanotechnology. Join us and be part of something extraordinary.
The Robotics & Automation Summer School (RASS) is a student recruiting pipeline for top talent in the field of automation. The main element of RASS is a summer internship where students work in teams of three to complete their project. RASS students develop rapid prototypes to solve critical, mission-relevant problems. Prototypes integrate multiple capabilities such as robotics, LabVIEW, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and mechanical and electrical design.
LANL's Robotics & Automation Summer School will be holding an information session on our summer 2025 internship opportunities.
