Members of the NITMB community are invited to join us for Research-In-Progress meetings, an informal venue for members of the NITMB to discuss ongoing and/or planned research.
Jared Salisbury is a postdoc in the Palmer & Schwartz group at the University of Chicago. Salisbury is interested in how dynamic computations in the nervous system give rise to perception and action in real time, despite significant sensory and motor delays. In particular, Salisbury analyzes the responses of retinal ganglion cells to moving stimuli using information theory, while, on the other hand, characterizing the statistics of motion in the natural world by applying computer vision techniques to video data.
Learn more about Jared Salisbury's research and engage in discussion with the NITMB community. Research-In-Progress talks take place on Wednesdays at 3pm at the NITMB office (875 N Michigan Ave., Suite 4010). Snacks and coffee will follow.
