Two centuries of Italian music for voice, solo harpsichord, and harpsichord duo come to life with acclaimed Dutch soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg and harpsichordists Jason Moy and Stephen Alltop. In addition to Handel’s dramatic cantata Lucrezia, the program will feature vocal works by Claudio Monteverdi, Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini, and Isabella Leonarda. Keyboard music by Bernardo Storace and Andrea Gabrieli will be heard, along with four sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti. The concert concludes with the Fandango of Luigi Boccherini, arranged for harpsichord duo by Andreas Staier.
