Each year NASA’s licensees commercialize technologies that benefit life on Earth and more than 2,000 technologies have been commercialized since 1976 and profiled in NASA’s Spinoff magazine – there is more Space in your life than you think such as the camera in smart phones, invisible orthodontia braces, GPS.
Dennis Dannemiller, MBA, and Renee Eveland, Ph.D., a Northwestern alumna, from NASA Glenn Research Center’s (Cleveland, OH) Technology Transfer Office will present at The Garage on March 11. The presentation will provide an overview on who is NASA, how to data mine the over 1,200 U.S. patents available to license, types of license agreements, and the licensing process.
NASA’s technologies available for license span fifteen (15) different categories including: Aeronautics, Autonomous Systems, Crew & Life Support, Data & Image Processing, Design & Integration Tools, Electronics & Electrical Power, Environmental Sciences, Communications, Materials & Processes, Propulsion, Structures and Mechanisms, System Testing, Vehicle Management.
Join us to learn more about how to become the next entrepreneur to launch a business around NASA technology.
