Bio:
Dr. Prakash Jayabalan is Physician Scientist Director of the Nancy W. Knowles Strength and Endurance Lab at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, USA. His lab’s work focusses on using biological markers to develop novel, individualized rehabilitation, and exercise strategies for individuals with knee osteoarthritis. He is a Pepper Scholar and has received multiple federal and foundation grants. His significant contributions to his field have been recognized in the past year in him receiving both the Early Career Awards from his national specialty organizations, the Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R).
