Learn about the Gap Year Program for Aspiring Medical Students
As the healthcare industry rapidly evolves, medical professionals must understand and anticipate the increasingly complex legal, regulatory, and business issues that impact their work. This is why aspiring doctors and other healthcare-focused students have chosen to enroll in the one-year Master of Science in Law program at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law before attending medical school. We invite you to learn more about this unique master's degree.
While you may think law is an unusual choice for students who are interested in medicine, the MSL curriculum provides the tools you need to succeed in today’s healthcare ecosystem. MSL students learn about a range of topics, including:
-how institutions develop healthcare policies
-how to advocate within the healthcare system
-the business side of health
-health data regulations
-innovation and entrepreneurship in health and medicine
Armed with this knowledge and distinctive edge, our graduates have achieved great success throughout their professional journeys: during the medical school admissions process, while studying medicine, and even with their residency applications and beyond.
We invite you to register for the MSL Information Session for Healthcare Professionals, which will take place on Wednesday, March 26, at 5:30 PM CT. At the session, you’ll learn about the customizable MSL curriculum and how the MSL degree has enhanced the careers of students and alumni.
